M3 ACCESS TO WINCHESTER


Junction 9 (Easton Lane) gives access  North East of the City, and also joins the A34.
 Junction 10 (Bar End Road) is only easily accessible by North bound traffic. You need to leave the South bound carriage way, turn Right under the Motorway,  return along the North bound carriage way, and filter left into the local road network, or follow the signs for the South of the City.
There is also a local link road that runs parallel with the M3, between J 9 and J10.
Junction 11 (Hockley and St. Cross Road) is the main interchange for the South and West part of the City.
 

BUS & COACH


Winchester is on the main bus routes to and from the South, with connections to most destinations in the UK.  There are regular services from Heathrow, London, Oxford and Southampton. Most services operate from the Broadway, in the heart of the City.
Coach parties may be picked up and dropped off in the City Centre, but coaches may only park in the Worthy Road coach and car park.

Winchester lies on the main line from Southampton to London Waterloo and the Midlands.
 Average journey time Winchester - London is 55 minutes.
There are excellent connections to and from most parts of the Country. There is a direct line through Southampton Parkway, which serves Southampton International Airport

The nearest Airport is Southampton (Eastleigh).
There are daily flights from Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and the Channel Islands, with regular scheduled services to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, and Newcastle.
There is easy access to the M3 and Rail Network.
London Heathrow (50 miles) and London Gatwick (72 miles) have good road and rail links, with journey times of between 1 and 2 hours to Winchester.
